Danza Descalza\u2019s weekly workshop has been an established part of the Montreal scene for several years, welcoming numerous participants of all ages and backgrounds each week. Intended for both experienced dancers and beginners, the goal of this workshop is to share the happiness of dancing and free expression through movement. Aimed at both dancers and the uninitiated, the objective of this workshop is to share the joy of dancing and expressing oneself freely through movement.<\/p>\n

Danza Descalza workshops can be customized, with the content adapted according to your particular needs : creative exploration in groups, communication exercises through movement, physical theatre games, rhythm training, and more! These workshops are inspired and nourished by Afro-Colombian dances, using theatrical and contemporary dance techniques.<\/p>\n

Offered in school settings or in the form of classes, children’s workshops are adapted to the age of each group. Dance is an excellent way for a child to develop awareness, motor skills and coordination while having fun. Through play and learning short choreographies, the child will explore movement, rhythm and improvisation. The workshops awaken the child’s creativity and build confidence.
